Biography

Lawyer, human rights defender, specialist in media and communication law with more than 20 years of experience. She founded ARTICLE 19's West Africa office in Senegal in 2010. She recently founded the Gambia Center for Women's Rights and Leadership (CWRL).

She advises several institutions in Africa including President of the Board of Directors of Gambian Radio and Television (GRTS). She has received several distinctions including Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite, France, Shield Award, Heroine de la Liberté de la Presse in Gambia.
