Maria Elvira Alvarez Gimenez is a historian, specialist on the history of women in Bolivia and Latin America from a transnational perspective (XXth-XXIst centuries). She is a researcher and an associate professor at CY Cergy Paris University. She is particularly interested in the history of women's access to citizenship and to public and political spheres. In 2017, she published a book entitled "Mouvement féministe et droit de vote en Bolivie (1920-1952)" (Teseo Press, Buenos Aires).
