Biography

Alexandra Afsary is a socio-anthropologist of the body, sexuality and contraception from a gender perspective. She is currently completing her doctoral thesis at the University of Lausanne on the contraceptive experiences of people in French-speaking Switzerland in a context of questioning hormonal contraception. In her research, she is particularly interested in the relationship of women to their bodies and to medical and health institutions. She is currently a scientific collaborator at the University of Social Work Fribourg.
