Marylène Lapalus is a doctor in sociology, expert on the issue of femicide and feminicidal violence. Her research focuses on the concept of femicide since its neological appearance, the circulation of the concept in Mexico, the spaces and forms of resistance carried by the concept, mobilizations against male and patriarchal violence (sexist assassinations, trafficking in women, penalization of abortion, juvenicide, transfeminicide), impunity and alternative ways of doing justice.
